15 Minutes of Fame

Well as most of you have now witnessed...my mom and I were on wheel of fortune last night. It was such a neat experience to see myself on TV. It was also SO cute to have Luke with us. He kept saying Nani, Tia? Then he would look at the TV and back at us. Totally confused. It was adorable. Anyways...after seeing the show air I can now say confidently that we did NOT stand a chance. It was just bad luck after bad luck. However, on a positive note...I have decided to spend my winnings on a personal make up artist...haha! Well all in all it was a blast and I now everyone I know can say they know a TV STAR!!!! Thanks for all you kind words this week...

I am a princess!

Well, today was the day that my group of running friends were able to be kids again. Tutus...tiaras...glitter! We ran the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon this morning. As the alarm went off at 4:15 (actually 3:15 because of the SPRING forward), I thought to myself...hmmm...why am doing this again? Oh yeah to dress up! So I rolled out of the bed (I stayed at my sisters house so we could go straight to Disney). After putting on the usual...shirt, tiara, shoes, shorts, tutu, throw away shirt, race number... I was ready to go and we were off. At bag check in G we met the rest of the princesses in our group and we made the 1 mile walk to the start. Anthem, fireworks, greetings from Cinderella..then we began the RUN! We did not have a race time goal but wanted to break 2 hours (of course NO goal though). I have to say, overall it was a tough race but we finished in 1 hr 56 minutes!!! I crossed the finish line holding my sisters hand. Man am I going to miss her when she moves. It is such a great feeling to finish a race and share the accomplishment with my closest friends! Oh yeah and did I mention that Jo-Anne (a friend in the group) PR'd (personal record). She beat her last time by 10 minutes. Way to go girl!!! Overall, I felt like such a princess at the end. Maybe next time my prince will meet me at the end!

Princess for the Day!

Princess for the day...this Sunday it is time again to endure another 1/2 marathon. This time, we are all dressing the part. The name of the 1/2 is the Princess Marathon so...we are all dressing up as...PRINCESSES!!! Today we decided to make our tutus and tiaras for the big event. Let's just remember that there is not one ounce of creativity in my body. However, thanks to YouTube, we were able to learn how to make a "no sew" tutu. I must admit I am quite impressed with the end product. Oh yeah and did I mention that my sister is sick so I got to make 2! I am so excited to run the race with some of my closest friends.
